Won the AJGA Dominican JR Open May 2023: tournament record of -15 under.
Ranked first in Georgia for 2024 by the Junior Golf board rankings.
Qualified at the age of 16 for a Korn Ferry Tour tournament as an amateur he won a five man playoff for the final spot to enter the Club Car championship in Savannah, Georgia.
Ranked 10th in overall for State of GA
Ranked 93 in Golfweek Boys Jr Rankings
2023 TPC Sugarloaf Jr Club Championship winner
Mar 2023 won the SJGT Sanctuary Golf Club Junior Championship, shooting 6 under par to win the 16-18 boy division title and tied for 1st for the overall male champion 14-18.
In July 2022 he won the AJGA Junior All Star at Quail Creek, shooting 12 under for the boy’s division title.
In June 2022 Finished top 10 in Press Thorton Future Master’s for the 15-18 boys division
In June 2022 Finished in 4th place for the GSGA Boys Georgia Junior Championship, which qualified him to make the Team GA to play in the GA-SC Junior Match play and Team GA won in 2022.

About the player
Meet Anthony
Anthony’s golf journey began at the young age of eight years old. He was introduced to the game by his dad as they would frequent a local driving range. Although he explored playing different sports, it became clear at the age of 11 years old that golf had captured his interest in a special way.
From the age of 11, Anthony started competing in tournaments across Georgia and the country sponsored by US Kids Golf, the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour, the Georgia State Golf Association, and the American Junior Golf Association.
All these opportunities out on the course fueled his passion for the sport and led him to the decision to pursue becoming a professional golfer. To become his best, Anthony understands he needs to continue to play with the field of players who have the same focus and determination. He plans to enter more prestigious junior amateur tournaments and Korn Ferry Tour Monday qualifiers this year to gain the experience he needs to compete at a level worthy of the PGA Tour. Anthony continues to showcase the results of his drive, discipline and determination.

Anthony finished solo 7th in the AJGA Taylormade Invitational
The AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational hosted by Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, MS featured top 72 boys in Rolex Rankings. Anthony was on the priority list, luckily a WD from a previous player got him a spot in the field. Anthony managed to play all three rounds under par (70, 66, 71).

Anthony Qualifies into the Final stage qualifier for the US Open
Anthony finished T4 shooting a 67 to get him into the final stage qualifying for the US Open. The US Open Local qualifier played out of White Oak Golf Club in Newnan, GA.

The win is his second AJGA victory. He led wire-to-wire. Broke the tournament scoring record. His second-round 65 was the lowest tournament round score.

Sixteen-year-old, Anthony Purcea battled his way to the Monday Qualifier for the Korn Ferry’s Club Car Championship, which begin Thursday. The high schooler shot an impressive 66 to put himself in contention for a spot in a 4-man playoff that lasted 4 holes.

High school junior Anthony Purcea proved that once again with his emphatic performance at the Monday Qualifying event for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Club Car Championship in Savannah, Ga. It took a birdie on the 449-yard 18th hole to sneak into a 4-for-1 playoff for the last spot, and then four playoff holes that were extended into Tuesday to separate from the pack.

Buford resident Anthony Purcea ties for fourth in Georgia Junior Championship
Buford resident Anthony Purcea tied for fourth in the Georgia State Golf Association’s 57th Georgia Junior Championship, which concluded Wednesday at Horseshoe Bend Country Club. Purcea shot 72, 71 and 71 to finish at 2-under-par 214. Peachtree City’s Kyle Bachkosky (70-68-68) won the tournament at 10-under 206.

Discussing financial support can be challenging, but it is a crucial topic for many athletes. Anthony possesses exceptional talent, discipline, and a strong work ethic that make him deserving of pursuing his golf talent on a higher scale, even while he is still in high school.
In my sincere opinion, it would be unfortunate to let this moment pass or hinder Anthony's aspirations in any way. As parents, we understand the difficulty in asking for financial assistance, but the idea of not providing Anthony with the best possible opportunity for professional golf success is inconceivable. We want to establish a solid foundation and build a supportive network to aid him in his journey towards a career in professional golf.
Both in the realm of junior golf and professional golf, finances play a significant role.
